Will Ayers by Sage Larsen
Will Ayers is very active in our school community. He is involved in spirit crew, basketball, and track. Will led our football student section and has lots of school pride, and also the vice president of the Interact club!
When Will was asked what advice he would give underclassen. he mainly focused on being involved and being active with your peers: “I would tell underclassmen to work hard in school, but more importantly, have fun. You only get a high school experience once, so if you want to join a club or play a sport, I recommend it. It allows you to make friends and really does make all of high school better. I would also encourage underclassmen to really try to manage their time well with school and do the best they can. If you can do class work in class, do it, but it’s important not to stress so much where school destroys you.”
Will has been a well known student throughout his years in high school. He is a friendly face who most people feel comfortable walking up to and asking a question. Will claims his senior year has been the best year of high school. “I’ve been happy with the work I did as an underclassmen and it has set me up well for my senior year. I have had lots of fun participating in sports and hanging out with friends. It’s also an exciting time as I look forward to what I will be doing after high school.”
Will was very successful in basketball his senior year. He had many three pointers and many times he led the team in scoring. Will has had a double double, multiple steals, and lots of two pointers. Will was the team leader.
After high school, Will plans on attending college and majoring in PPE. PPE is philosophy, politics, and economics. He has very good grades and plans on attending a great college. When Will was asked what college he was going to attend he said: “I am not completely sure what college I will attend, but I am leaning towards the University of Michigan. I got accepted into the University of Indiana, University of Michigan, Hope College, and GVSU, but am still waiting to hear from Vanderbilt and Notre Dame.”
This May Will graduates alongside his friends and will most likely spend his summer as a sailing instructor. Make sure to wish Will good luck!
