Lethal Company by Luke Barde
Well, it’s that time of year when the next bubble videogame hits the market. It's been almost 3 years since the last big Indie game was in the spotlight. Among Us hit the world like an industry plant and seemingly became popular overnight. Among Us had a great run bringing together many friends and sharing plenty of laughs throughout the journey.
However, that's all old news with the release of Lethal Company. Lethal Company has blown up throughout the last few weeks. The game follows the same formula as SCP, which is another wildly popular fad: mysterious monsters hunting you down in an odd yet familiar setting.
In Lethal Company, you play as a scientist collecting scrap from abandoned planets, all to sell them to the unknown “Company.” You are given a quota for every job and you must go into the horror-infested environments to collect said scrap while being hunted down by a multitude of monsters. All of these monsters come with different personalities and behaviors with plenty of information on how to defeat, avoid, or straight up just flee from.
Lethal Company faces you head-on with the questions: “Do I leave behind the pop can or the painting?” or “Do I really need to sacrifice myself for this air horn?” Although, who knows what questions we’ll be asking in the future. Will the game be updated regularly? Or perhaps will the game fall into the overhyped Indie games that couldn't live up to expectations? As of right now, we’re unsure of where this game is headed but this game is great fun, especially with friends. So, if the game is available to you, go ahead and grab a few friends and enjoy some laughs while the hype still lasts.
