Overview on Seafood by Liam W
A very popular choice in food is, sea food. A wide variety of seafoods are available in marketplaces from many different sources. In the U.S., wild fish and shellfish are harvested by commercial fishermen in both near shore and open ocean waters, and in fresh water lakes or rivers.
Farm raised seafood is raised both on land and in ponds, circulating tanks, or in nearshore waters. These same methods are used to farm a wide variety of fish and shellfish in other countries around the world which are then imported into the U.S.
Earlier this week I walked around asking people around Saugatuck High School for their opinion on seafood. The answers were pretty split half and half. Some people said they liked seafood and others said they didn't, but the people who did say they liked it we asked their specific favorite food in this category. Most people said fish such as salmon, but there were also a few shrimp, crab, and lobster.
Personally, I don't find sea food too appetizing. I don't mind it, but it's not my favorite, but a lot of people seem to have their opinions on it making this topic weirdly controversial.
