Mark Gorman by Annie Molenhouse
Mark Gorman is one of Saugatuck’s 2023 graduating seniors. Mark is looking forward to receiving his diploma in May and beginning the next part of life.
When asked what his hobbies are, Mark said throughout the past year he has had the opportunity to participate in lots of bowling with his peers. He will definitely miss this part of high school. Aside from bowling, Mark also enjoys spending time reading.
After highschool, Mark is planning on working hard to save up money for the next year. He is happy to announce that he will be attending Davenport University to work towards his computer science degree.
As Mark says goodbye to his high school years, he has some advice for the underclassmen as they work their way towards graduation. First off, he says do your homework, this will ease your school year and give you more time to focus on other things, like extracurricular activities. Mark also learned over time that procrastination will add to your stress. He recommends finding ways to keep yourself focused in order to maintain your grades.
Finally, Mark was asked how he felt about his time in high school. Overall, he really enjoyed his time at Saugatuck, but is looking forward to seeing what his future has in store for him. Throughout the years, he has spent time having fun in choir class and highly recommends that others take it. Mark said, “Overall, I did enjoy most of my high school career. Overall, I think I enjoyed choir most of all, so I'd highly recommend everyone join choir.”
If you see Mark, be sure to wish him luck! Congratulations Mark!
