Student Check In by Ava Tringali
It's so crazy to think that we are already in our eighth week of school. For some the year has gone fast and for others it's been miserably slow.
So far we have had picture day, football games, volleyball games, and homecoming! As the year continues we are getting ready for events like basketball season, snowcoming, more Interact fundraisers, and many more gatherings.
Personally, last year my school year went very fast, I think I felt this way because of all of my travel. It felt like every time I got back from one trip I'd be getting ready for another one. That being said, this year has felt dramatically slower.
Sophomore Lilianna says, “It's going pretty fast I feel like. I'm sad that the marching band ended and I'm excited for the Christmas Carol show.”
Sophomore Noah Morgan says, “Homecoming was the highlight of my year so far. I didn't like the dance, but the before and after were ok. I'm looking forward to baseball season.”
Sophomore Annie Molenhouse says, “Really good; my classes are going well. I have good friends. The year has gone pretty fast; we're already halfway through the trimester. I’m looking forward to soccer season.”
Sophomore Charlotte Gardner says, “I've had a really good year so far; I've spent a lot of time with friends on the weekends and throughout the week. I'm really looking forward to soccer season and more Interact fundraisers. I am bummed that the trip to the Dominican Republic is only once every two years; I really want to go back.
Sophomore John Fowler says, “My year has gone perfectly mediocre; I really enjoyed getting to do band and learning to play tuba. In general just music I guess.”
Sophomore Augie Boyer says, “It's been a struggle feeling more difficult and longer high school assignments. I really enjoyed the marching festival and I'm looking forward to graduation.”
Sophomore Oakley Rigozzi, “It's going decently, I mean the weather has been cold and stuffy. It's been fun sometimes, but the weather's kinda running everything right now. I'm looking forward to the end of the school year.``
Overall it looks like the school year has been going pretty good for most of Saugatuck High School. Be sure to check out the Orange Crush weekly!
