Grace Dombrowski by Isabella Smith
Grace is a senior at Saugatuck High School and will be graduating in May of this year. She is also a part of the Saugatuck Interact Club, and spreads her kindness to everyone throughout the school. She is a hard worker when it comes to school and preparing for her future, but she also knows how to have fun throughout her high school career.
Her plans for next year and the future are going to college at GRCC. She will be living with her friend on the Grand Valley campus. She is not quite sure about her major yet, but she has some ideas in mind.
She describes her thoughts and feelings about senior year as fun and that she is continuing to enjoy her senior year while it comes to a close. On the other hand, she explains that she is very ready to be done with high school and move on with her future. Grace mentioned, “It was good while it lasted, but I’m ready for the next step.” Currently, she feels stuck in senior year and is definitely ready to move on.
An important piece of advice for underclassmen that she would like to share is, “Don’t stress so much about your future plans and what you want to do; you’ll figure it out.” She explains how her original plan of going to MSU has completely changed; it was her dream, but even dreams change. She added the fact that her mind had shifted in only a day. She wants underclassmen to understand that stressing over things like this is not worth it, and that things will fall into place. “Just have fun,” was her second piece of advice, as she explained how it is important to understand that high school does not need to be filled with stress, but having fun is another important part of it all.
