JV Baseball: Saugatuck vs Bangor by Kevin VanDam
Bangor Public School’s JV Baseball team has a record of 0-4. As far as it goes, it doesn't seem like Bangor has a good team, but Watervellite and Bloomingdale are good. Saugatuck is not as strong, and is going to be as we will be missing three people from our team
Saugatuck will not have any extra players to sub they will lose their main catcher, Maison. The starting center field Ben, and the starting second baseman, Soren. This is really bad, as Saugatuck will have to replace those experienced players who are really good with less experienced players. Soren is also a pitcher which means Saugatuck will need more people to pitch for the double header.
This so far looks to be in favor of Bangor Public School as they most likely have a full team and extras so they can give players breaks, while Saugatuck only have one extra player to sub for 2 games.
Even and Ashton are most likely to become the catchers for both games as they are the only ones who have experience in catching, but most likely even will be cacher for both games.Ashton is the starter for shortstop and the team does not have a backup shortstop as Ben will be gone and the team has a starting first baseman, which is Grady.
As for Soren, the team really doesn't have a second second baseman. Most likely, Benny will take Soren's spot, as Benny is the oldest, strongest, and one of the fastest people on the team. He is probably the one coach will put for second baseman, as he can field the ball good enough to play. He is a starting outfield, but there are more than enough outfielders at the moment and he is probably the best choice. Ian will most likely become the right fielder, as he is the next best choice.
Ben is the starting center field and though there are a lot of people who can play outfield, he is one of the best. He is also a backup shortstop to either go there when Ashton needs to pitch or needs a break. Most likely Chase will become the center field, as he is the next center fielder as he is the next best choice.
