Start of Baseball Seasons by Evan Kothman
JV and Varsity baseball has begun and both teams look well prepared for their games. Games start next week and players and coaches are working hard to get better and learn more for the sport. Justin Crawford was interviewed and says practices are going well and the team has potential. Ashton Lamb, who is also a freshman as well, says that the teams are ready to play and play well.
Varsity has a lot of games to play this season and have worked hard to be where they are. Each player gets to try out to play JV and Varsity. Everyone played well, but some played better than others and got put on Varsity. Even kids who are on JV have played well, as they have worked in the off-season to get better at the sport.
Jv players are ready to play as well. The new coach has been teaching the team to play different spots to get them used to different spots, as well as sharpening up spots they already know. The players have been working hard to get better and better at practice. The players are ready for anyone waiting to play them. The new coach has also been learning about the players and how and where they play.
Both teams, players, and coaches are doing their best to make sure everyone has a great season and is prepared enough to win games. Although Jv is running very short on players, they are making it work by having players play positions they normally do not play. This can be difficult because it is hard to learn something from scratch. Which if it is really a weird spot, such as catcher or pitcher, it will be hard to play it because the player will not know what to do.
That is all the news for both these teams. Both teams should have good seasons while having fun, as well as working at home and learning the sport more as it can help during the season. Good luck to not only all baseball teams, but all sports teams in the school. Have good seasons and play hard.
