Premier League Matchday 27 by Benny Majer
The 27th out of 38 Premier League Match Days is now done, and here’s how the games went.
The first game was Newcastle v Wolves, which Newcastle won 3-0 after a late goal by Tino Livramento. AtT the same time, one of the top games of this matchday was played: Crystal Palace v Tottenham. After a surprising goal by Crystal palace in the 59th minute, a lot of people thought Crystal Palace would win, but Tottenham stayed calm and scored 3 goals in the 77th, 80th and 88th minute turning around the whole game.
The next game was Nottm Forest v Liverpool, which unsurprisingly ended in a 0:1 for Liverpool, who’s currently leading the Premier League closely followed by Manchester CIty. At the same time, Brentford and Chelsea FC played a match ending in a 2:2 draw.
The last three games on Saturday, March 2 were Everton v West Ham, ending 1:3 for West Ham, who scored two very late goals in 90+1 and 90+5. The matchup between Fulham and Brighton FC ended in a 3:0 and Luton Town v Aston Villa, my favorite game this week, ended in a 2:3 for Luton Town after a goal by Lucas Digne in the 89th minute.
The first game on Sunday, March 3rd, was Burnley v Bournemouth. Bournemouth won 2:0, which was surprising since they only had 25% ball possession. Then, the probably most watched game this week was the Derby between Manchester CIty and their Rival Manchester United. Marcus Rashford scored a really early goal, allowing Man United to start the game off with a lead, but after two goals by Phil Foden and one goal by Erling Haaland in the second half, Manchester CIty won 3:1.
The only game on Monday, March 4th was SHeffield United v Arsenal, which unsurprisingly was a blow off which ended in a 0:6 for Arsenal.
