Favorite Drinks Around Saugatuck Schools by Lexi Brooks
There are many favorite drinks around Saugatuck, which leads to many different opinions. For example, someone may like to have orange juice in the morning, but then there may be someone who very much dislikes orange juice. This quote from Abby Neuens says it all: “Everybody deserves that right to drink what they want. If I remember correctly, in the Bill of Rights, the eleventh amendment states that everybody should be able to drink anything that they want. People should not go against this.”
Ellie Gillmore stated that her favorite drink is Sprite because Coke is too sugary and sweet. Along with eighth grader Ellie Gillmore came Stella Blubaugh with her favorite drink. She said, “My favorite drink has got to be a chai iced latte.” When asked why she added on by saying: “ I don't know . . . I just really like them.”
In the high school, Vinny Jones stated that Root Beer was his favorite drink because it's like Coke but different and better. Not far from Vinny was Isabel Noguera. She stated: “The lemonade from Chick-fil-A because it's thicker and has a sweet but sour flavor. Addie Gumpert stated that water is her favorite drink because it is really refreshing to drink. Lastly, 8th grader Tommy Bullinger added, “ Chocolate milk is my favorite because it's really good.”
Everybody that was asked seemed to have a very different answer. While coming up with the idea for this article it was presumed that there would be a lot of repeated answers or people that had similar opinions. There were a few like Ellie and Vinny who are both soda/pop fans. The rest had pretty interesting answers to add. These different drinks will maybe inspire others to try new drinks that are loved by fellow students.
