Three-Day Weekend by Charlotte Gardner
This past weekend was a three-day weekend for the students, but unfortunately not for the teachers. Since there was a three-day weekend, here is what some students did.
First, Haley, who is a senior, said, “I worked in the morning. My friend Cydney from Chicago was in town and we hung out and did random stuff. On Saturday I played 1st and 2nd-grade soccer in Zeeland then took a nap. On Sunday I worked most of the day, then went shopping with my mom and finished with homework.” It sounded like she had a fun weekend and got to make some money.
Next was Annie, who is a sophomore. She said, “On Friday I went to Charlotte's house to hang out with Cass, Noah, Ava, Maizie, Charlotte, and Sage. After that, we went to Cass’s and then on Saturday I worked.”
Jessica, who is a senior, said, “On Friday I went with my friend Annie to get her car in Holland, and then when I got back I got to hang out with my friends. On Saturday I got breakfast with Annie and watched the Michigan football game with my dad, and then I went to Chick-fil-a and had a bonfire with my friends. On Sunday, I went to Holland with Charlotte, deep cleaned my car, and got Taco Bell, then did my homework and finished off the day with dinner at my dad’s house.”
Lastly, Noah, who is a sophomore, was asked about his weekend and he said, “I got to hang out with people and slept at Cass’s house, went to Holland with Jess and Charlotte, then I went to a bonfire with my friends. Then I spent the day at Annie’s and went home.”
The students at Saugatuck High School seem like they really enjoyed their three-day weekend and had lots of fun. It also sounds like there was a lot of work and bonfires, especially since it is starting to get cold out.
