Emilio Ascencio by Annalise Ascencio
Graduating high school is a major milestone in a person's life. Emilo Ascencio is ready for that milestone and to continue their future. I interviewed Emilio and they said they would love to attend GRCC & GVSU with a focus on “Crimnal justice (forensics anthropology) or music education. I love doing anything with band and music.”
Next, I asked how they felt about this being their last year in high school. They said, “It has been stressful; I have a lack of motivaiton, but would just like to graduate already. I’m also sad I’ll be leaving band and sports behind.” Emilio has been playing softball for 2 years now in Saugatuck, and has been doing band, but also jazz band.
Whenasked what teacher they were going to miss the most, it isn't surprising that Emilio said, “Mr Holtz!” Emilio said that their favorite class was World History. “I love world history and Mr. Walker teaches it very well.”
Lastly, I asked if Emilio had any advice to give the underclassman. They said, “Try to work hard on your grades; just because you might not care right now, it can affect your junior and senior year.”
