Anna DeYoung by Analeah Green
For this senior spotlight we’re looking at senior Anna DeYoung. She was asked the question “What are your plans for next year?” Anna says she wants to major in architecture, stating “Next year, I will be majoring in architecture, but I'm not sure what college I'm going to attend yet.”
When asked what she wanted to do with her future as a whole, she responded with some of her personal goals that she wants to achieve in her life and career. “As a whole, I want to live in a more urban area and work in the city at an architecture firm and focus the majority of my projects on environmental sustainability. I also hope to own a firm when I'm older.”
As a senior, the last year in high school is an important last step in the journey through high school. WAnna’s last year has gone well for her personally. She says “My senior year has been fun so far, and I've become very close with many of my classmates. I will miss them very much next year and I hope we stay in touch! That being said, I am ready to graduate and move on to the next chapter of my life.”
Anna was asked one last question for her senior spotlight: “If you could give some advice to SHS underclassman, what would it be?” Anna's response was: “High school can be a great experience, but you get out of it what you put in. Don't take it too seriously!”
