Student’s Favorite Fall Music by Matty Haddock
Music is known for its ability to make people experience different feelings. It only makes sense that people everywhere associate certain songs with the season of fall. In this article, a variety of students were interviewed to see what they consider the song of the season.
Nathan Schaefer is a senior. He says his autumn jam is “Wild Child” by Paul Revere. This song is a rock/bluegrass song with a rugged, outdoorsy vibe. Based on this, it seems like a great song to listen to while enjoying an autumn road trip.
Another senior contributor is Andreas Rodriguez-Kupres, who says that “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” by Taylor Swift represents fall to him. He says that the song reminds him of drinking cider and watching leaves fall.
Elsa Dean suggested “Burn Burn Burn” by Zack Bryan. Check it out for some fall vibes. She also, along with Grace Dombrowski, suggests listening to “The Joker” by Steve Miller Band for a good taste of fall.
Mac DeMarco is a classic artist for moody autumn music. Natalie Tuckerman suggests a great fall hit, “Moonlight on The River,” for those wanting to jam out in the chilly weather.
Erica Lloyd, yet another senior, claims that their fall favorite album is Either/Or by Elliot Smith. They like this album because it’s very acoustic, with raw vocals and an orange cover that screams fall.
Now here’s a guest suggestion from a beloved Trailblazer alumnus, Juliana Decker. The song she suggests has immaculate fall energy and is another outdoorsy one—“Stick Season” by Noah Kahan.
Thanks to those who contributed, this article is a great outline for a great autumn playlist. Be sure to check out these songs, artists, and albums!
