What a Start To The Third Tri by Abigail Tower
The third trimester of the 2024 school year started on March 11th and is off to a good start. Many people are excited for this last stretch of the school year, and with that comes a variety of things, such as a new round of classes and chances to do better in them, all the different spring sports to try out (such as girls soccer, track and field, golf, baseball, and softball), and we also have spring break from March 29- April 5th. Lastly, with March 19th being the first official day of spring, that also means better weather and hopefully no more snow, which means sunshine and warm temperatures.
When interviewing some people about their feelings about the last trimester of the year, a freshman, Evelyn Meivogel, says: “I think this new trimester is so far easier than the last. I feel more confident in these classes. My favorite class right now is creative writing because it is a chill class and I enjoy the work.”
Another Freshman, Lyvia Curtis, says: “I feel okay about it. I don’t love all my classes, but none of them are that hard, and I enjoy some of them. My favorite class right now is AP gov, because I know all the people in it, and I like the subject.”
Ginny Cernugel shares her thoughts upon being interviewed about the new trimester: “My classes are pretty boring so far, and my favorite class right now is probably band because it’s the least boring out of the classes I have. I´m also taking AP gov; I like it, but I do find it a bit boring at times; however, Mr. Green makes it fun.”
While the third trimester does come with the PSAT and the SAT and more final exams, there are still plenty of things to look forward to. Luckily spring break is just around the corner, and not too long after that is summer vacation. So try and make the best of this trimester, because there are now only about 11 more weeks to go then school is out and summer is in!
