Tips and Tricks on How to Keep Up With Your Work From Honor Roll Students by Kamryn Sixberry
Many people struggle with keeping up with their work and don’t know how to manage it properly. If you are struggling to keep up with homework, don’t know how to study, or just need different ideas to help you keep your grades up, this article is perfect for you. A few of the honor roll students were asked their tips and tricks on how to keep up with homework, what they suggest to help keep grades up, and how they like to study.
Emma Schoonmaker was asked what she does to keep up with her homework, and she said she likes to keep up with her homework by keeping her own thoughts organized. She likes to create a daily planner of her classes and put what she needs to do for each class in the planner everyday. This way she doesn’t have to worry about forgetting anything she needs to do when the end of the day comes.
Another student was asked the same question. She said she likes to keep a sticky note inside her computer of what homework she has and the stuff she might forget to do. This way when she opens up her computer while doing homework, she has a constant reminder of what she still needs to do, and can cross things off as she goes. When it comes to studying, if she can, she likes to write the material down. This helps her better remember what she is studying and helps her understand it more.
Lyvia Curtis was asked what techniques she likes to use in order to keep up with her homework and what she likes to do to study. Lyvia said she likes to write down in a google doc for every class what she needs to do so she doesn’t forget. She also likes to do her homework right when she gets home from school. She says this helps her so she doesn’t procrastinate on doing it. When it comes to having a big test or exam, she likes to start studying a few days in advance so she has more time to memorize the material.
Some people had a few different responses that you may also find more relatable or helpful. One person said they wait until the day before a test to study because they don’t like to put a lot of stress on themselves for a test, quiz, or exam. They said they remember more of the content of what they are studying. While one other person said they do better when they are under more pressure when doing a test. They said they don’t need to study as much and can still remember everything.
