What Happened Last Friday: NoroVirus Update by Charlie DeYoung
This day wasn’t normal, lots of things happened, let us start. The start of the week seemed normal, school was going on and people were not sick, and getting ready for spring break. There was a virus that went around and its name was NoroVirus. The school assumed this virus took off at the start of the week and was just growing extremely fast. We don’t know where this virus came from and don’t know how it spread so fast. The school has heard many rumors about this virus and stories. It sounds like the virus hit most people on Thursday night right after school and practice. Turns out that the NoroVirus virus is extremely contagious and can spread almost everywhere. The school said that 78 or 88 kids were infected and out sick and there were 2 kids away from school not counting.
Charles interviewed many people and it turns out Eli Janowiak felt extremely bad from Thursday afternoon to Sunday night and was thinking of not coming to school on Monday. He did get better, but this virus is extremely contagious and dangerous.
The second student Charles interviewed was Carter Miller; he was at golf practice on Thursday and felt great and was enjoying his night, ready for the weekend. He woke up Friday at 1 am and said it was one of the worst pains in his life. He just wanted to sleep, but his stomach was aching and he was tossing and turning all night. He did not go to school on Friday and just slept through the day.
Lastly, our 3rd interviewer was Charles, he had a crazy story to tell. Charles got hit by the virus Thursday afternoon with a pit in his stomach and aching pains. After golf practice, he didn't know what to do. He fell asleep for an hour and then threw up. He blamed it on Burger King for food poisoning, but it was the NoroVirus. After that, he just slept and his body was not enjoying the virus. Friday morning he had a job interview and had to attend it. It took him almost an hour to get ready and when the time came he went in there and got the job done. After that, he slept and didn't enjoy the pain. It lasted almost until Monday for him.
Overall, this virus was a terrible thing, and watch out because it could come for you. Happy Spring Break.
